Bladder and Bowel problems
The pelvic floor muscles are at the base of the pelvis. These muscles support and control the bladder and bowel and play a part in normal sexual function.
Weakness of the pelvic floor muscles can result in the following symptoms:
- Leaking on coughing, lifting, getting up from a chair or other types of exertion
- Increased frequency and urgency to empty the bladder
- Poor control of wind
- Difficulty controlling your bowels
- Erectile problems
